Korpiklaani in finlandese significa il clan della foresta, ed è il nome di uno dei più famosi collettivi di folk metal del pianeta, qui al loro undicesimo lavoro in studio. I Korpiklaani hanno cominciato con un nome differente e facevano folk finlandese, per poi passare nel 2003 all'attuale nome e dare alla luce il loro debutto Spirit Of The Forest, e il resto è storia. Il loro suono è un folk metal, o forse è meglio dire un folk rock potente, ma che non punta solo sulla velocità e sulla potenza, avendo come proprio punto di forza una grande capacità di composizione e soprattutto l'assai raro talento di saper rendere molto bene in musica i sentimenti che provano. I loro concerti sono feste, ma al contempo è un'accettazione della finitezza umana, e della necessità di vivere appieno le nostre piccole vite. I Korpiklaani forse è il gruppo più finlandese che ci sia al mondo, portando in giro da anni lo sterminato amore che questo popolo nordico nutre per la musica, e soprattutto per le sonorità vicine al metal. Jylhä nella lingua finlandese significa selvaggiamente bello, e calza a pennello per la musica dei Korpiklaani, che in questo album è maggiormente curata e prodotta in maniera davvero meticolosa. Il gruppo cerca di dare il meglio e ci riesce benissimo, mettendo in musica moltissime emozioni, dall'allegria alla compassione, dall'amore alla tristezza, qui c'è tutto. Inoltre i Korpiklaani stessi affermano che per questo disco hanno affrontato tutto da una prospettiva differente, andando a scavare anche in storie che sembravano lontane da loro, come gli omicidi del lago Bodom alla fine degli anni sessanta. La lingua finlandese si presta benissimo, il gruppo ha un'enorme popolarità in patria, e ascoltando Jylhä ci si divertirà come ad un loro concerto, sperando che tornino il più presto possibile su di un palco. Ennesimo grande disco di un gruppo che stupisce sempre, e che con la propria musica trasporta molto lontano, in un luogo dove la vita è più bella e più piena. Lunga vita ai Korpiklaani.

Korpiklaani in Finnish means the clan of the forest, and is the name of one of the most famous folk metal collectives on the planet, here at their eleventh studio release. The Korpiklaani started with a different name and did Finnish folk, then moved on to the current name in 2003 and gave birth to their debut Spirit Of The Forest, and the rest is history. Their sound is a folk metal, or perhaps it is better to say a powerful folk rock, but which does not focus only on speed and power, having as its strong point a great capacity for composition and above all the very rare talent of knowing how to the feelings they feel very well in music. Their concerts are parties, but at the same time it is an acceptance of human finitude, and of the need to fully live our little lives. Korpiklaani is perhaps the most Finnish group in the world, carrying around for years the boundless love that this Nordic people have for music, and especially for sounds close to metal. Jylhä in the Finnish language means wildly beautiful, and fits perfectly with Korpiklaani's music, which in this album is more carefully curated and produced in a really meticulous way. The group tries to give their best and succeeds very well, putting many emotions to music, from joy to compassion, from love to sadness, here is everything. Furthermore, the Korpiklaani themselves claim that for this record they approached everything from a different perspective, also delving into stories that seemed distant from them, such as the murders of Lake Bodom in the late sixties. The Finnish language lends itself very well, the group has enormous popularity in their homeland, and listening to Jylhä will have fun as if at their concert, hoping that they will be back on stage as soon as possible. Yet another great album by a group that always amazes, and that with their music transports far away, to a place where life is more beautiful and fuller. Long live the Korpiklaani.

Korpiklaani tarkoittaa suomeksi metsäklaaneja, ja se on yksi planeetan tunnetuimmista folk-metallikollektiiveista heidän 11. studiolevyllä. Korpiklaans aloitti eri nimellä ja teki suomalaista kansanmusiikkia, siirtyi sitten nykyiseen nimeen vuonna 2003 ja synnytti debyyttinsä Spirit Of The Forest, ja loppu on historiaa. Heidän äänensä on folk-metalli, tai ehkä on parempi sanoa voimakas folk-rock, mutta joka ei keskity pelkästään nopeuteen ja voimaan, sillä vahvuutena on suuri sävellyskyky ja ennen kaikkea erittäin harvinainen kyky osata tehdä tunteet, joita he tuntevat hyvin musiikissa. Heidän konsertinsa ovat juhlia, mutta samalla se hyväksyy inhimillisen lopullisuuden ja tarpeen elää täysimääräisesti pikku elämäämme. I Korpiklaani on kenties maailman suomalaisin yhtye, joka kantaa vuosien ajan rajatonta rakkautta, jota tämä pohjoismainen rakastaa musiikkiin ja etenkin metalle lähellä oleviin ääniin. Jylhä tarkoittaa suomeksi kiistattomasti kaunista ja sopii täydellisesti Korpiklaanin musiikkiin, joka tässä albumissa on huolellisemmin kuratoitu ja tuotettu todella huolellisesti. Ryhmä yrittää antaa parhaansa ja onnistuu erittäin hyvin, asettamalla musiikkiin monia tunteita ilosta myötätuntoon, rakkaudesta suruun, tässä on kaikki. Lisäksi Korpiklaanit väittävät itse, että tätä levyä varten he lähestyivät kaikkea eri näkökulmasta, jopa syventyen tarinoihin, jotka näyttivät olevan kaukana heistä, kuten Bodom-järven murhat kuusikymmentäluvun lopulla.
